How long have you been in business?
I have been working with dogs my entire life. The grooming salon officially opened it's doors in 2008.
What is your primary product or service?
Dog grooming
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have been interested in animals and working with them my entire life. I began working on a horse farm at 9 years old and volunteering at a local animal hospital at 12 years old. As soon as I was of legal age, I obtained a position as a Veterinary Assistant and by that time was also managing a large equine facility. I took night classes to obtain my degree in Veterinary Technology and became an RVT in 2005. I started grooming for friends and eventually decided to train and make it my full time endeavor, opening my own home salon in 2008.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I have my veterinary experience along with grooming, so I feel I can detect potential health issues for my clients that other groomers may miss. Also, since my services are offered in my home salon, it is much more laid back and relaxed for both my clients and their owners.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I have just the one location and no plans of expansion at this time. My clients and I feel comfortable in the home environment and I am reluctant to change that.

FROM THE TOLEDO ZOO AND I-75: Take the Anthony Wayne Trail (24) west to the first light and turn right onto Woodsdale Avenue. At the second light, turn right onto Nelson (at Arlington Elementary School). At the first stop sign, turn left onto Toronto Avenue. FROM UT MEDICAL CENTER (UTMC) AND BYRNE ROAD: Head east on Arlington Avenue. Go through two traffic lights then turn left onto Toronto Avenue.
