How long have you been in business?
We were newly built and opened for business in May of 2003. We also went through a full renovation that completed in 2015!
What is your primary product or service?
Our friendly, service-award winning staff can assist you with all of your business or personal accommodation needs. We have 74 guest rooms, of which 23 are luxurious suites. We also have meeting capabilities to host up to 40 people in our meeting room and up to 10 people in either of our two board rooms.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I began working in the hotel industry while in high school. I started off in a full service hotel, working in the laundry room. I have since worked in every department including housekeeping, front desk, banquets, restaurant, and sales. Upon graduating from Indiana University, I obtained a position here at the Wingate by Wyndham in Sylvania as the Sales manager and was quickly promoted to Assistant General Manager . I was responsible for all aspect of the sales department and front office. Two years later, I was promoted to General Manager. In May of 2007, I was awarded General Manager of the Year for the Wingate by Wyndham brand at our Wingate by Wyndham brand conference. Over the years we have received many awards we are proud of from Service Awards (Count on Me), Quality of the Year awards and Best of the Best from Wingate by Wyndham to name a few.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our hotel has proven to stand out to our customers visiting the Sylvania/Toledo area due to our personalized customer service that focuses on making each guest stay memorable. Several of our staff members have been with the hotel since opening and are proud to work here. Our Count on Me Committee, comprised of team members of each department of the hotel at every level, has been awarded for outstanding customer service for two separate quarters over the past twelve months! Our Sales Manager has also recently won �Sales Leader of the Year for 2010� for the Wingate by Wyndham Brand. In 2015 and 2016 we were awarded "Best of the Best" from Wingate by Wyndham as well as 2015 Quality of the Year award. We continue to focus on community service, safety, green initiatives, customer service and delivering a great experience to all customers, every time.

Our management company currently has 3 hotels.
