How long have you been in business?
We opened our doors on May 18, 2000.
What is your primary product or service?
We are known for our delicious gourmet popcorn, as well as our frosted almonds and pecans.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
We had been to a number of popcorn stores, and fell in love with one of the flavors we tried (Vanilla Butternut), and thought Port Clinton was the perfect spot to open a store.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
What we do that most other candy/confectionary stores don't do is emphasizing sampling of our products to the customers. That is why we installed a long sampling counter for them to try our many flavors. Another major difference is that we pop and coat our popcorn directly in front of the customers.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are only at one location, and that is in downtown Port Clinton, Ohio. We also own an adjacent restaurant called Kokomo Bay with a Caribbean flair, but also have good old American burgers, pulled pork, and homemade soups.

From Cleveland area- Route 2 West to Route 163 West at the Port Clinton exit. Follow Route 163 approximately 2 miles to downtown Port Clinton and turn north on Madison Street. You will see the store on the left side of the street. From Toledo area- Route 2 East and exit at Route 163 East. Follow Route 163 to downtown Port Clinton (approximately 3 miles) and turn left on to Madison Street,a nd you will see the store on the left side of the street.

All of the counties surrounding Port Clinton, but we also have a website (www.GreatLakesPopcorn.com) through which customers can order, and we can ship throughout the country.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Bill and Kit Yuhasz are the owners, and moved to Port Clinton from Columbus, Ohio
What are your hours of operation?
It varies, depending on the season, so we recommend calling for hours on our "toll free" line at 866-732-3080.
